In this last semester I have learned a lot about different art techniques. Throughout these past months I have tried really hard to meet your expectations, learn, and make art. My biggest success was my clay projects, I had never done clay before so it surprised me how simple and yet complex it is. My favorite project was the clay projects, namely the box. Art skills for this was making sure the clay had hardened, cutting the sides at 45% so two fit together, and slip and scoring the sides. The art elements were the 45% angle, making sure all the sides are succure and preventing the vac from breaking in the bisque process. All of these made my project look even better. I hope to use these skills maybe in a outside of school art class or even a art class at MSHS in the future.

This is my hard slab box. It outside is yellow, the inside it blue, my crab is red, one starfish is green and the others are clear. My box turned out pretty good, it has no cracks, however, the glaze didn't turn out as I wanted but that should be expected with glaze.

What was easy for me was cutting all the sides at 45 degrees to create a 90 degrees angle when the two sides are connected and slip and scoreing the sides before connecting them. The hard things were connecting the last side together and making sure the box is secure and won't fall apart.

This is my soft slab cup. I tried to make it look like a sun, however, my dad at first glance thought it was a starfish. The yellow is the sun, the blue is the sky, and I had pink on the inside, however, as you can kind of see it didn't quite stay. If I could do something different I would try to prevent the pink from going off.

This is my Penguin pitch pot. It's body is white but mostly blue and it is yellow at parts on the beak and feet and black on the eyes..
